Pogon, the Polish club that loaned Kazmierczak and Grzelak out to Boavista at the beginning gof the season, have complained to UEFA about the lack of payment of the amounts agreed between the two clubs. The players are on loan at Boavista until the end of the season, when the Porto club will have the option to buy.

FC Porto turned down an offer of around seven million euros from English club Portsmouth for South African striker Benni McCarthy, it was revealed Friday. Porto turned down an offer of nine million from West Ham United for the same player in the summer. McCarthy has a contract with Porto until the summer of 2007.

Benfica president was forced to travel to brazil to secure the ok of the 1m96 'keeper, and there were incidents in São Paulo and Lisbon Airports between the Benfica entourage and FC Porto's representative. Porto are claiming they had a preliminary contract with the player, but the player accuses the club of putting undue pressure on him.
